Language factor in choosing maid

It is no doubt that maid from the Philippine is most popular in Singapore.

Singapore is a diverse countries with three major races: Chinese, Malay and Indian. Although they can speak the common official language-English, people of different races can speak at least another language-the mother tongue.
As people from Chinese-speaking countries or territories are not allowed to work as maids in Singapore, ability to speak English will be an important consideration for chinese employers when they are interviewing the maid. This is the reason why the Filipino maids tend to the highest demand maids in Singapore as the majority of the population in Singapore is Chinese.
For Malay, it is relatively easy for them to pick maid. It is very likely for them to pick Indonesian maids who not only can communicate with them easily, also share common religion. It is very unlikely for them to pick Filipino maid as they speak different language and have different religions.
For Indian families in Singapore, they will intend to hire Indian maids although some indian families in the end choose Filipino maids who speak better English.
You can refer to Indian maids, Filipino maids, Indonesian maids or Myanmar maids to choose maid of different nationalities.

transfer maids and their advantages and disadvantages

Transfer maids refer to maids that are currently in Singapore and want to be transferred to another employer. These maids may have finished their employment contract and just want to continue to work in Singapore. Some of them needs to be transferred because their employers are not satisfied with their performance or their employers just do not need the domestic helpers any more.
Transfer maids are suitable for those employers who need a helper immediately. For new maids or other types of maid who are not in Singapore, the process of getting to work may take one month, this is considered lengthy if you need the helper right away. When the maids are already in Singapore, the process of transfer probably just take one week.
For maids that are transferred from employers to employers without going to agency, both employers and maid can save money. The saving is especially significant for the maid who may save her about a few month's salary. This can motivate the maid to work hard.
For maid's current employer, he can save the air ticket as current employer is supposed to pay for the return air ticket after the employment contract.
With some working experience in Singapore, these transfer maids are also better than the fresh maid who need the employers to teach them how to use the appliance and who also needs some time to get used to the expectation of the employers. The new employers can therefore save a lot of time on training the maid.
